MAGADAN, Jun 18 (PRIME) -- Gold production on Russia’s Chukotka peninsula rose by 4.4 tonnes on the year to 12.8 tonnes from January 1 to Tuesday, the regional government said in a statement.
The Tenkinsky District of the region was the leader with 7.9 tonnes, the Severo-Evensky produced about 1.2 tonnes, the Srednekansky 1.1 tonnes.
Alluvial gold output started in May. The Yagodninsky District led with 699.5 kilograms, Susumansky produced 661.7 kilograms and Srednekansky 123.3 kilograms.
